Comments:I heard a flapping of metal outside my window, and went out to see if the lawnmower had caught something in the blades (someone was cutting my fields). The noise was very loud, and I ran to see if an accident had occured. When I went out onto the porch, I notice the noise was coming from the air conditioner. I ran over, and saw the fan cutting something, blood and meat coming through the grate on top. I saw a long, black tail about 1 foot long above the revolving fan. I could not see a body or anything, but after the fan stopped, I looked closer and saw pieces of feet and legs stuck in the grating. The coloring is like the B&W Tegu, and the feet and claws look the same. I tried to look down in the ac unit, but have not been able to see anything. I did see where the compressor wrapping has been knocked off. I am going out of town, but my brother will be at my home, and I would like someone to come see if the thing is a Tegu. I have never seen any lizard or anything resembling the body pieces in my yard or fields since I have lived here for over 6 years. I have dogs and cats and am concerned. Please contact me, and, hopefully someon can come and see what it is. I will ask my brother not to take the air conditioner grates off until I hear from someone, or get back home on Friday. The airconditioner is next to the house. Please come check this out. Airconditiioning repair technician inspected the unit, but did not recover or photograph the carcass.
