Appearance

Impatiens parviflora is an annual herb that can grow from 7.9 to 39.4 in. (20-100 cm) tall.

Foliage

The leaves are alternate, simple, green and ovate. They are 2 to 4.7 in. (5-12 cm) long with serrated edges and have 20 to 35 teeth on each side.

Flowers

The flowers are 0.4 to 0.6 in. (10-15 mm) long, and pale yellow with red spots with 5 petals and are found in axillary racemes with 4 to 10 flowers.

Fruit

The fruits capsules are 0.6 to 0.8 in. (15-20 mm) long, club shaped, green and glabrous. Seeds are oblong, 0.16 to 0.2 (4-5 mm) long, and there are 1 to 5 seeds per capsule.

Ecological Threat

Impatiens parviflora prefers damp areas including, riverbanks, canals, and other mossy or moist areas. Impatiens parviflora is native to Asia.
