Origin
Zachrysia provisoria is native to Cuba. Garden zachrysia were purposefully introduced to the United States in the early 1990s.

Life Cycle
This snail has a medium shell, approximately 1 in. (2.54 cm) in length that is spherical in shape with light brown axial streaks and 4-5 whorls. Z. provisoria feeds on agricultural and horticultural crops. Garden zachrysia are found in leaf litter and ornamental plantings with populations highest during warm, rainy seasons.

Distribution
Z. provisoria are established in south Florida.

Control Efforts
Z. provisoria causes damage to crops and ornamental plants.
