Origin
Native to Puerto Rico.

Life Cycle
Male E. coqui brood fertilized eggs in a high, sheltered spot. Once developed as neonate frogs, eggs hatch in vegetation with no aquatic tadpole stage.

Distribution
Current distributions include established populations in the U.S. Virgin Islands and Hawaii. There are limited populations in the Miami-Dade County of Florida.

Control Efforts
Coqui outside of greenhouses appears to die off in areas that experience winter freezes.
