Origin
Brotogeris versicolurus is native to South America. White-winged parakeets were introduced to the United States by escaping captivity.

Life Cycle
B. versicolurus are small parakeets approximately 8.6 in. (22 cm) in length and weighing 2.4 oz (70 g). Adult white-winged parakeets are bright green in plumage with a white and yellow pattern on their wings. Diet includes seeds and fruits. These parakeets are adaptable birds that are usually found in small flocks outside their native range in communal roosts. Within their native range, large flocks of these highly sociable birds are formed.
