(26-27 cm), small round heads, square tail, and a thin bill. Coloration is a pale buff white to brownish-yellow with a black half-collar on the back of the neck. Nests are found in trees or bushes made of twigs. Females lay 2 eggs in each clutch. African collared doves inhabit areas near people.
