Origin
Agapornis roseicollis is native to southwestern Africa. Rosy-faced lovebirds were introduced to the United States as escaped or intentionally released pets from the pet trade.

Life Cycle
A. roseicollis are primarily green in plumage with a blue rump. The face and throat are pink in coloration, legs and feet are gray. Adult rosy-faced lovebirds are approximately 1.9 oz (54.8 g) in weight and 5.9 in. (15 cm) in length. A. roseicollis feed on seeds, grains, and nuts. Rosy-faced lovebirds are very social birds that gather in flocks of 5-20 birds. During the breeding season pairs are formed with females laying 4-6 eggs per nesting season. Incubation averages 23 days with hatchling fledging the nest 43 days after hatching. Sexual maturity is reached around 2 months of age.

Distribution
A. roseicollis have been recorded in Arizona, Florida, and Puerto Rico.
