Origin
Native to central and south-eastern Europe.

Appearance
Muscari botryoides is a perennial herb that grows to 3.2-8″ (8-20 cm) in height.

Foliage
Consists of 2-4 rigid, linear, erect leaves with parallel veins and entire margins.

Flowers
Sapphire-dark blue flowers between 0.1-0.2″ (2.5-5 mm) in length that are smaller up top and more dispersed and longer in length when progressing down. Flowering is between May and June.

Fruit
Round capsules that are 3-edged and 0.16-0.25″ (4-6 mm) in length.

Ecological Threat
M. botryoides is a threat to roadsides, gardens, parks and yards.
